Instructions

Tom Yum Goong or Tom Yum Shrimp

Recipe Provided by Sukho Thai  (3 - 4 Servings)

Method

-      Start with the Shrimp Stock and Lemon Grass, Galangal, Kaffir Lime Leaves and Shallots

-      Bring to a boil

-      Add Shrimp, Button Mushrooms, Roasted Chili Paste, Fish Sauce, and bring to a boil again

-      Turn gas low for 2 to 3 minutes

-      Add Culantro, Cilantro, and Evaporated Milk

-      Turn gas off and squeeze lime over the top

-      Taste the broth and add chilies per your spice preference

 

 

Ingredients
  • 700 ml. Shrimp Stock
  • 6 Medium or 4 Large Shrimp
  • 10 Button Mushrooms, cut into quarters through the center of the stem
  • 3 Limes
  • 2 - 4 whole Thai Chili Peppers
  • 3 Shallots (Ripped in half)
  • 2 Stalks of Lemon Grass
  • 6 Slices of Galangal (a type of Ginger)
  • 4 Kaffir Lime Leaves (Fresh or Frozen)
  • 2 Stems of Cilantro
  • 1 Stem of Culantro
  • 1 Tbs Roasted Chili Paste (bottled as Chili Paste in Oil)
  • 2 Tbs Fish Sauce
  • 1/2 Cup Evaporated Milk.
