The Back Story


  • On medium heat sauté celery, bell peppers, onions, and garlic in olive oil for 3 to 5 minutes
  • Add turkey to the skillet and cook for 3 to 5 minutes stirring occasionally
  • Add salt, pepper, liquid smoke, tomato sauce, and chicken stock 
  • Let the mixture simmer for 7 to 10 minutes
  • Mix in ¼ cup of cheddar and ¼ cup of Mozzarella cheese and stir until melted 
  • Stir in oregano seasoning for extra flavor
  • Cut the lasagna pasta shell in half and add lasagna between the shell halves
  • Layer with the remaining cheeses and top with a slice of tomato and basil
