Instructions

Method For Shrimp

-       Boil 6 cups of water in pot over high heat

-       Add salt, peppercorn, bay leaf, onion, lemon juice, lemon rinds, Creole seasoning, shrimp to pot and cook 2 to 3 minutes

-       Then take shrimp out of pot and place in ice water bath to stop cooking process

 

-       Serve with homemade horseradish cocktail sauce (recipe below)

Homemade Horseradish Cocktail Sauce

Ingredients

·      1 ½ cups ketchup

·      ½ tablespoon liquid smoke

·      3 lemons, juiced

·      1 tablespoon Crystal Hot Sauce

·      ½ tablespoon readymade creamy horseradish

Method

-       Mix all ingredients together in a bowl

  • 1 ½ pounds large shrimp
  • 6 cups water
  • 1 lemon, halved
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 1 bunch tarragon
  • 10 whole black peppercorns
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 pinch of Creole seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons Kosher salt
  • Bowl of water with ice
