Red Bean Kale Burger

The Back Story

Method

-Mix together red beans and 1 tablespoon of olive oil

-Fold in sunflower seeds, bell pepper, kale, onion, Crystal liquid smoke, cumin, quinoa and Crystal hot sauce

-Season mixture with salt and pepper

-Form bean mixture into a patty using a ring mold

-Sear bean patties in olive oil for 2 minutes on each side

-Build burger with spread, mustard, lettuce, cucumber, and tomato

Thanks for having me on your show Chef Jeff! I wanted anyone watching this video to know that the burger was at least as delicious as it looks. I made the left over mix for my husband and I the next day and it inspired my husband to start making "burgers" out of all kinds of beans and even split peas. All of them have been fantastic! Thanks for the inspiration! :)

Cant wait to try it but would really like the recipe for substitute for mayo using greek yogurt!
