Kale & Herb Quiche

Instructions

Method

-    Cook bacon in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat for 3 to 5 minutes

-    Add celery, green bell pepper and onions to skillet and sauté for 3 to 5 minutes

-    In a bowl, crack eggs and add oregano, salt, and pepper

-    Pour in half and half and whisk ingredients together until smooth

-    Fold in tomato, kale, and ¼ cup cilantro to mixture

-    Pour mixture into pie crust and bake at 350-degrees for 45 to 50 minutes

-    Toss ¼ cup cilantro, lemon zest, and lemon juice together and place on top of quiche

  • 2 pieces of chopped bacon
  • 1/3 cup chopped celery
  • 1/3 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/3 cup chopped onions
  • 6 eggs
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • 1 pinch fresh black pepper
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 ½ cups of half & half
  • ½ cup chopped tomato
  • ¼ cup chopped kale
  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • ½ cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
