Hot Brown Sandwich



-      Melt butter in pot

-      Stir in onion, jalapeno and garlic, and cook down

-      Deglaze pot with Worcestershire sauce

-      Stir in 2 cups of low-sodium chicken stock

-      Slice baguette in half and spread Dijon mustard on each side

-      Add sliced turkey breast to pot, and season with pepper to taste

-      Remove pot from heat

-      Use tongs to remove turkey from liquid, and layer onto bread

-      Spoon jus from pot onto the sandwich, and serve


  • Sliced smoked turkey breast
  • 1 soft baguette
  • 1 ½ cup low-sodium chicken stock
  • ½ jalapeno pepper, seeds removed and diced
  • 2 ½ tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive-oil-butter blend
  • 2 tablespoons diced onion
  • ½ tablespoon fresh chopped garlic
  • Black pepper and Dijon mustard to taste
