Crispy Calamari with Tomato Sauce

Instructions

Method

-Mix flour, corn starch, salt, cumin, coriander, fennel, and 1 teaspoon of chili flakes

-Cut calamari into half inch rings and toss in mixture

-Fry calamari for 4 to 6 minutes in boiling olive oil

-Add 1 pinch of chili flakes to marinara sauce and serve

  • 1 pound calamari
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup corn starch
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground fennel
  • 1 teaspoon and 1 pinch chili flakes
  • 2 cups olive oil
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
